Red Dot Fundamentals, Principles, and Performance is a deep dive into developing consistency, efficiency, and performance with a red dot handgun. This is achieved through the exploration of shooting principles using skill-isolation exercises that include both dry and live fire. Students will leave this class with an understanding of the performance potential of a red dot handgun, as well as a clearer sense of how to continue training on their own. 

 

Class duration: one day- 8 hours.

Fundamentals of stance, grip & trigger manipulation.
Exploring key principles of shooting that lead to performance. 
Developing a consistent and efficient presentation of the dot. 
Achieving true target focus.
How to properly zero your red dot.
Foundation of a fast efficient draw. 
Transitions.
Exploring the balance of speed & accuracy at distance. 
Blending isolated skills together through drills and challenges.
Introduction to movement and isolation. 
The chance to achieve the Citizen Defense Standards patch.
